Prime Minister of Israel
Head of government of Israel and the most powerful executive position in the Israeli political system. The prime minister is typically the leader of the largest party in the governing coalition and must maintain the confidence of the Knesset. The office manages security policy, coalition maintenance, and the cabinet, and has grown in dominance relative to the Knesset since the 1990s.
